Camping with Uncle Phil

Travis' brother Phhip invited us to go camping with his family at Currant Creek, UT. This was the first time we had been to this location which is approximately 1 hr north of Strawberry resevoir. We left on a friday after Travis got off work, but were not able to find Phillip's camp site the first night. We looked until dark, but then finally set up camp seperately. The funny thing is we actually saw Elisha (Phil's wife) drive by us on a four wheeler, but we did not recognize the other people she was with so we brushed off the sighting. We even said to each other "That looks like Elisha," but it was hard to tell because she was wearing a scarf over her hair and sunglasses. The next morning we went looking again, and found out we had been with in 1/4 of a mile from Phil's campsite the night before, but had given up just a little to soon (the combination of pregnancy and dirt roads can do that to a person).

We spent 2 nights in the mountains, and had a lot of fun. We hiked with the girls to the creek, and enjoyed the company of Elisha's extended family. I hope we go again next year.

Girls 1st time at the beach

On our trip to California, we took a small detour to the beach. It was almost dark, but we wanted Ariel and Shantell to see the ocean. Ariel told us " I know, that is where the Little Mermaid lives, huh? The water was still a little cold since it was march but we had a wonderful time picking up sea shells running in the tide, and chasing seagulls.

Disneyland

We fianlly made it. After years of begging, Travis finally agreed to take us to Disneyland. It might have been because I started selling things around our house on KSL (the classifieds) to fund the dream. His mom and two siblings live less then 2 hours away, so I have requested the detour to Disneyland several times when we were in the area, but this year we made it. The girls are at such a great age that it was truly magical. The girls favorite part was meeting the princesses. It only took two hours in line, but it was totally worth it. My favorite ride was the Toy Story ride. We all woreThree D glasses and twirled around in an interactive arcade. It was so fun, and I am so glad we went. It is always fun to have a dream come true.
