Happy Thanksgiving 2009

Originally we were planning on traveling to California to celebrated Thanksgiving with Travis' mother. However, at the last minute our plans did not work out and we ended up staying in Utah. My sister Adelle graciously invited us to her home in Eagle Mountain. Also joining us were a few of my cousins from Montana: Jayne, Rula, James and Beth Wiedow and my other sister Emmalee. The day was uneventful and enjoyable. I made pumpkin pie (I tried to dress it up a little with pastry leaf garland and chocolate leaf centers). I don't know how well it tasted, but it looked cute and I made it from my own home grown pumpkins. I also made rolls and a green bean cassarole (the kind with the friend onions). The rolls were good, but I think thanksgiving would still go on with out green beans. In fact, I think it did this year too. By the end of the day I believe the vote was throw the green beans away. Here are a few things I am thankful for this year: My home, my family, my health, that I have 2 sisters and a loving aunt Sarah who lives near by. My loving and supporting friends. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
