They look so cute and harmless...but...it has been a hard week. Some of their new favorite past times include : toilet papering the house with toilet paper from all three bathrooms, cutting any paper they can find into confeti. (Keep all important papers up high.) Unloading my filing cabinet and mixing taxes with sheet music, gardening tips or anything else immaginable. Locking me out of the house, or car. Mixing ingredients from the fridge or pantry, unloading their bookcase etc...The list goes on, but this was just today. At least they are happy right now. When they are tired and or grumpy it is very difficult to function or even walk for that matter. Ariel was sick on Thursday and all day someone was crying or hanging on me. If I hold one child, the other one thinks they are being left out. Travis has been working longer hours, and Saturdays too so it has been extra wearing. Wow, by the end of the week I am worn out and in desperate need of some personal space. I think I need to start a new self help group, maybe I'll call it MOM'S-TO-MONSTERS because somedays I feel like I'm going to turn into a monster. (Disclaimer: I'll try to contain myself for church services, while I am supervisig over 100 children.) I wonder everyday how mom's with large families or single parents survive? Parenthood truly is underrated. Thanks mom for raising me and my 6 siblings. Welcome to a new week.
